Project Proposal of
Drepung Gomang Monastery
With due respect, we are elected by the monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery to serve for three years as the directors, secretaries, and accountants of this esteemed monastic institution and to work at the best of our capabilities and to fundraise for all the projects for the overall welfare of this Sangha, its teachings to reach far and beyond. We are proposing to build a Pilgrim guest house at the holy land of Bodh Gaya, Bihar. We all here appeal and request for your kind support, offerings, donations, and contribution to this project.
A PRAYER HALL CUM RESIDENTIAL QUARTERS FOR PILGRIMS: Bodh Gaya is the holiest land to the Buddhists. Every year, our Abbots, former abbots, senior monks, and monks in general as well as our well-wishers, benefactor visits holy Bodh Gaya for HHDL teaching, or as a pilgrimage or to do prostrations at the holy site. Monastery has already purchased a small plot of land there and is proposing to construct a Guest house that will be of the prayer hall, separate quarters for His Eminence Abbots, former abbots, tulkus, benefactors, rooms/quarters for monks/guests/pilgrims.
